AI Transformation Primer

Overview
Align your team to the vision of analytics in your organization. This course introduces the concepts and terminology of AI and analytics. Overview of the benefits of tying analytics to clear business objectives, prioritization of analytics initiatives, intentional user-centric design when creating analytics products, and an overview of the analytics life cycle along with roles and responsibilities.

After this course, students will be able to:
  • Increase the impact, quality, and adoption of analytics solutions.
  • Understand and explain the roles & responsibilities of the data and analytics workstream.
  • Leverage best practices to increase the quality, speed, and alignment of analytics.

This course contains the following modules:
Module 1: AI adoption & terminology
  • Learn key terminology and relationships between concepts in AI.
Module 2: Framework for data & analytics
  • Roles and responsibilities and how the analytics and AI life cycle interacts with the broader business.
Module 3: Keys to success & pitfalls
  • Understand how to lay the foundation of analytics organization without stalling .
Module 4: Getting started
  • Identify opportunities for your organization to effectively utilize AI.
Exercises
  • Defining the roles & responsibilities necessary to an organization to support the creation and use of AI, both in the beginning and at scale.
  • Map the process and hand-offs to get AI into the business.
  • Identify potential use cases across the organization where AI might be able to provide value

This course contains the following modules:
Module 1: Why context matters
  • Learn the impact that the data collection process, data transformations, definitions, and statistical characteristics have on making decisions with analytics solutions.
Module 2: Quality framework to address uncertainty
  • Understand how quality assessments at different parts of the analysis process can expose key points of context.
Module 3: Risk identification and impact
  • In this module, you will learn how to calculate risk and properly interpret and communicate the impact of that risk to stakeholders.
Module 4: Feedback loops and continuous improvement
  • Learn how to set up effective feedback loops and drive improvements to mitigate the risks associated with analytics solutions.
Exercises
  • Derive conclusions from sample analytics solutions and identify areas of missing context
  • Build a quality framework and run a sample data walk
  • Write and interpret analytics solution risk memos
  • Problem solve on risk mitigation with sample scenarios

Leading AI Transformation

Overview
Leading the Adoption of AI in an organization is a challenge. Learn the terminology, best practices, and how to build a Center of Excellence in this strategy-level course.

Module 1: What is AI Transformation?
  • Learning the core elements of transformation to enable your organization to effectively utilize AI.
Module 2: The biggest challenges around building and using AI
  • In this module, you will learn the largest technical, cultural, and operational challenges that hinder organizations from utilizing AI.
Module 3: Mapping organization and incentive structures
  • In this module, you will learn the impact that organization and incentive structures have on changing processes to support creation and utilization of AI.
Module 4: Using AI effectively - making the case
  • Learn the difference between operational AI projects and research oriented projects.
  • This module will cover how to identify optimal use cases for AI and justify the benefit. 
Module 5: Critical shifts to gain and keep momentum
  • This module will cover key organizational processes (risk management, ethical frameworks, technical support, effective project management, and operational process improvement) that must be in place in order to support adoption of AI.
Module 6: Staying aligned
  • This module will cover techniques to ensure AI initiatives are continuously staying aligned with organizational strategic initiatives. 
Module 7: Maintaining momentum sustainably 
  • Learn how to sustainably support the process of assessing use cases for AI, communicating and tracking ROI, and operationally supporting/managing AI solutions and their associated risks.

Analytics Strategy and Compass Workshop

Overview

This workshop takes the corporate-level vision, scales it into an achievable operational plan, and visualizes it for all levels of the business to understand.

  • Setting meaningful metrics that are well defined and provide visibility on performance

Module 1: What is the compass?
  • Review and understand the anatomy of the Compass to be able to operationalize your vision and identify opportunities for analytics to support key company objectives.
Module 2: Setting the vision and objectives that will align your analytics efforts
  • Clearly define organizational vision and objectives.
Module 3: Setting KPIs
  • Identify and understand leading and lagging KPIs to achieve the objectives defined in the previous module.
Module 4: Tying supporting initiatives to organizational objectives
  • Map and understand where current projects connect to the organizational objectives and vision. 
Exercises
  • Workshop on vision setting
  • Defining and prioritizing objectives to realize the vision
  • Defining metrics associated with the objectives identified
  • Identify existing or new projects to support those objectives and could potentially have an impact on the key metrics identified
